Ms Ayanda Zamantungwa Khumalo (Chairperson)

Ayanda Khumalo is an admitted attorney currently employed as a partner at Webber Wentzel Attorneys. Her practice focuses on human rights law, corporate governance for NPOs, Health rights, Sports law and land reform. She has extensive experience in corporate governance having serviced just over 100 NPOs in South Africa. In this regard, she had assisted organisations to register, draft founding/governing documents and provide guidance on restructuring for effective governance. She has diverse litigation experience having represented individuals and NGOs to enforce a broad range of constitutional rights. Ayanda has also served as an independent member on the board of South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee between 2020 and 2024. Ayanda is passionate about transformation and more specifically ensuring that organisations that are in destress are transformed into epicentres of good corporate governance. She is passionate about ensuring that the vulnerable and marginalised members of society are protected, and their rights are upheld.

Mr Mthokozisi Radebe

Mthokozisi ("Mthoko" is affectionately known) is a duly Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with over twenty (20) years Post-Admission experience, having been admitted as such before Judges Patel and Madondo on 11 May 2001. Whilst simultaneously attending the Practical School of Law, Mthoko served his Articles of Clerkship as a Candidate Attorney at the Law Firm De Villiers , Evans & Petit after graduating from the University of Natal, Howard College, Durban Campus in 1998 and went on to work for some of the country's most prestigious Law Firms. As a Commercial Attorney, Mthoko's areas of interest are Public Law, in particular Regulatory, Compliance and Governance. Mthoko has worked for prestigious Law Firms, amongst others, as both Partner and Director at Norton Rose Fulbright INC Attorneys (formerly "Deneys Reitz INC Attorneys"). As a specialist Accounting Officer in terms of the Public Finance Management Act (the PEMA), Mthoko, in a career that spans over decades, has led various Public Entities to numerous "Clean Audit" outcomes with no emphasis of matter by the Auditor General of South Africa ("AGSA"). Mthoko believes in providing Ethical and Visionary Leadership that is devoid of any Conflict of Interest. Mthoko's emphasis is upon Clean Governance that is both Inclusive and Responsive. Almost all the Public Entities in respect of which Mthoko was at the helm as Chief Executive Officer, Mthoko emphasized the provision of Strategic Leadership that recognizes Stakeholder Liaison that avoids Fruitless, Wasteful and Irregular Expenditure. Mthoko insists on a procurement process that is legally complaint that is fair, transparent and ensures that value for money is achieved. Mthoko is a strong believer in that all Entities he is at the helm of must be compliant and achieve the stated objectives in terms of budget, strategic plan and annual performance plans, whilst serving the community and the environment within which they operate. Mthoko's independent and sober judgment has ensured that effective internal controls are implemented, maintained, evaluated and reviewed regularly. Mthoko's summary of the PFMA is "let managers manage, hold them accountable". Simply put, there must always be a clear Separation of Powers and Delegation of Authority. As testimony to Mthoko's strong emphasis on performance, oversight and accountability, whilst at the helm of the KZN Playhouse Company, the KZN BCC Horse Racing Authority and KZN Sharks Board as their Chief Executive Officer, these entities all received Clean Audit Opinion from the AGSA.

Mr Sydney James

Sydney James is a seasoned professional in the Accounting, Insurance, Risk Management and Finance Industry for 35 years. Sydney James is currently the MD of Nadre Risk Management. Sydney has served as Chairperson of the Audit and Risk Committee for Metropolitan Trading Company (MTC) in the City of Johannesburg, a Board Chairperson of Johannesburg Property Company (JOSHCO) in the City of Johannesburg, as well as Board member of Umgeni Waterboard sitting on the Audit and Risk as well as Capex Committee. Sydney holds an MBA as his highest qualification. Sydney is an Associate Member of the Institute of Risk Managers of South Africa and a Registered Tax Tactician.

Dr Luvuyo Bayeni

Dr Luvuyo Bayeni is a visionary force in South Africa's health landscape and a trailblazer in strategic public service transformation. With over a decade of leadership spanning from Clinical Management to Executive roles, earning a reputation as "Dr Fix-it" following his track record of navigating complex challenges to create sustainable, people-centred solutions within Eastern Cape health system. His contribution in Healthcare has been recognized through South African Medical Association Special Award. Currently serving as a Chief Director responsible for Human Resources for Health at National Department of Health, he is known for his commitment to innovation, resilience, and community-focused health solutions with emphasis on teamwork, communication and transparency. His leadership does not stop at Healthcare; he has demonstrated his capabilities as a Board Member for Eastern Cape Academy of Sport and Boxing South Africa where he passionately advocated for well-being and development of athletes across the country. Eastern Cape Department of Sport awarded him MEC Special Award acknowledging his leadership and impact in Football and Boxing. He combines his board experiences with a Medical and MBA degree qualifications to drive governance, change and crisis management, and policy alignment with proven results in operational efficiencies and public trust. He is a dynamic keynote speaker and influential communicator who also promotes edutainment through several radio slots. Combining his communication capabilities and in-depth understanding of Human Resources for Health, he is a part-time lecturer at University of Pretoria (UP) and guest lecturer for University of the Witwatersrand (WITS). His acumen for governance and strategy has led him to be appointed to the National Department of Health Strategy Committee, nominated as Ministerial representative to HWSETA Board and delegated as Health Workforce Stream Lead for the G20 Health Working Group

Ms Rina Jude

Rina started Boxfit Gym in 2010 with two clients in her lounge, it grew to become a full- service boxing gym on the top floor of a strip mall. During this time, Boxfit trained clients of all ages and levels of proficiency. Boxfit was strongly focused on upliftment in the community, from creating employment to providing a safe haven for struggling kids. Boxfit provided employment for a number of professional boxers who needed to supplement their incomes, and welcomed trainers and boxers who needed a place to train, as well as providing women-only classes to help promote women participating in the sport. Rina participated in a women’s exhibition bout at Emperors Palace to bring awareness to women’s boxing. She was also featured on the reality TV show Single Wives SA, helping the contestants find their strength through boxing. Rina has also been featured in Oprah Magazine and Soul Sport Magazine for her work with women in boxing. Over the years Rina has held various licenses from BSA including: amateur boxer, manager and promoter. In her role as manager, she oversaw a number of professional fighters. This experience has allowed her to engage first-hand the various challenges that the boxing community face. Boxfit Gym also had a very successful amateur boxing team, registered at GABO. This team continues to do well under another gym’s banner since Boxfit closed its doors. Boxfit was also one of the first gyms in the country to launch White Collar boxing events. The Boxfit White Collar events were extremely successful and well attended. These events were known for their upmarket venues, high levels of safety, fair matchmaking, celebrity guests and excellent entertainment value. Rina’s focus is to create a boxing environment that puts the wellbeing of the boxer at the centre. This concept includes development boxing for youth as well as creating relevance and employment for retired boxers. Rina holds a BA Hons (Cum Laude) from Rand Afrikaans University as well as a number of post graduate diplomas and certifications including Coaching (UCT Graduate School of Business), Vega Brand Communication school and Precision Nutrition (Sports Nutrition). Rina currently works for Africa Spice where she heads up their retail division. She is responsible for packaging and design, marketing, building the brand, sales, relationships with retail chains, promotional events, social media and online presence. Boxing however, remains her first passion

Ms Saudah Hamid Chetty

Saudah Hamid is an accomplished leader with over 25 years of multisector experience spanning Banking, IT, Telecommunications, and Entrepreneurship. As the Chairperson of the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), Saudah brings a wealth of expertise in strategic leadership, governance, and operational transformation. Her career is marked by a deep commitment to fostering growth, sustainability, and inclusivity in South Africa’s creative industries.

Saudah is the Founder of a company dedicated to digital innovation with a strong focus on youth development and women empowerment. Under her leadership the company has become a platform for driving skills development, social upliftment, and technological advancement, showcasing her ability to merge business success with meaningful impact. In her extensive career, Saudah has managed large-scale transformational projects and held key leadership roles in renowned organisations.

At Siemens IT Solutions and Services, she spearheaded programs aimed at driving innovation, improving portfolio performance, and establishing governance frameworks that adhered to international quality and compliance standards. During her tenure at MTN, Saudah led strategic partnerships and portfolio management for wireless data providers, contributing to the organisation’s success in a rapidly evolving telecommunications sector.

Previously, Saudah served as Programme Manager for BCBS 239 at Standard Bank, where she led a regulatory compliance program across regions, achieving compliance on time and within budget. Her expertise in data governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement has been instrumental in establishing robust governance frameworks in complex, high-pressure environments. As Chief Transformation Officer at Adept Advisory, she led transformation initiatives that further solidified her reputation as a leader in sustainable development. Her entrepreneurial achievements have earned her recognition as a Finalist for the Standard Bank Top Women Entrepreneur Award, highlighting her innovation, leadership, and dedication to empowering women and youth..

Saudah’s qualifications include certifications from the International Association for Sustainable Economy (IASE), a Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Business, and a Diploma in Management of Technology and Innovation. She has also completed advanced training in Quality Management, Anti-Corruption, and Leadership through globally recognised programs. As Chairperson of the NFVF, Saudah is committed to driving transparency, inclusivity, and innovation within South Africa’s film and video sector. Her vision is to build a thriving, globally competitive industry that reflects the diversity and creativity of the nation while empowering the next generation of talent.

Ms Siyakhula Simelane CA (SA)

Simelane is a qualified Charted Accountant and fully registered member with South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). He completed TOPP articles with SASOL back in 2006. Successfully completed Advanced Certificate in Financial Management (APT). He holds B Comm. Accounting Honours and majors in Advanced Accounting and Advanced Management Accounting. He brings wealth of experience in debt management having headed Debtors and Creditors department at SASOL where he completed his articles specializing in Financial Management.

He has experience in Internal and External Auditing. Preparation of financial statements and formulating processes and strategies to ensure compliance with regulations and relevant legislation e.g. GAAP and GRAP.

He has experience in application of King IV of corporate governance recommendations. Information Technology (IT) and Loss Control. Formulating of effective internal controls and auditing, budgeting, and forecasting. Financial Modelling, Policy Development and Formulation, PPP Management. He has completed Financial Services Board Regulatory exams (RE1 and RE5). Completed the MDP with UNISA and B-BBEE. Possesses good knowledge of MFMA, PFMA Act, PPPFA, DORA and Treasury regulations. He has experience having served in various governance structures including. - Airports Company of South Africa (Board Member – Audit and Risk Committee Chairperson, Nominations Committee member, Board Investment committee member)
